Panama City Beach Waverunner Tours FAQs
Will we see dolphins on your wave runner tours?
99% of the time our guides will get you up close and personal with our famous friendly wild dolphins. We know their favorites spots where they can be found most every day. Of course, they are still wild creatures so we can’t absolutely guarantee an encounter on the tour, but Panama City Beach is home to one of the largest wild populations of dolphins in the world so it’s almost certain you’ll run into at least a few while out on the tour.
Can we swim with the dolphins?
Absolutely! Our dolphins are playful and friendly and love to have company in the water. Bring your snorkeling gear and hop in the water for an unforgettable experience or simply enjoy their antics from the wave runner. The choice is up to you.
Will we get to see Shell Island?
Our guide can show you the best spots of this pristine uninhabited paradise and you can take as much time as you’d like to explore and search for souvenir seashells to bring home. We can stop to snorkel the coastal shallows, play with the dolphins or whatever else you want to do as well.
How fast can we go?
Feel free to run with the throttle wide open. Our jet skis are powerful and aren’t limited by any governors so hang on! You can go as fast as you’re safely comfortable with and if you prefer a more leisurely pace, don’t worry. Our guides will keep you in sight and never leave you behind. We promise!
What if we’ve never been on a wave runner before?
Then you’ve been missing out on some exciting action! You don’t have to be an expert, or even experienced to take our wave runner tours. We’ll supply you with all the instruction you need to have you surfing over the waves in no time. It’s easy, simple and safe!
What can I bring?
All of our machines have a DRY compartment so you can bring along items such as snorkeling gear, a towel, food and beverages or whatever else you may want during the tour. We recommend bringing a waterproof camera and not bringing anything you’d rather not lose or could be damaged if it got wet. For your convenience we have many items you might want or need right at the marina where we depart.
Who can drive and rent a wave runner?
Florida State Regulations govern this question:
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 who drives a wave runner, must have a picture I.D. in his or her possession AND a boater safety certificate. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission can issue you the certificate at their website: www.boatus.org. Or, you can wait until you get into town, and at our Panama City marina, we offer a temporary certificates, for only $3. If you choose to get the certificate with us, please arrive for your tour at least 30 minutes early. Please call us if you have any questions, (850) 235- 0009.
